If a scientist has too much integrity to use fraud and deception to manipulate testing they are quickly fired and sometimes even blackballed from the drug industry altogether.

It is common practice in the U.S. to manipulate drug tests in order to receive a favorable result (for drug company's products) which then makes it possible tochampion the most ludicrous claims imaginable by these poison pushers. They then pick the exact studies which favor the particular drug they want to sell (discarding thatwhich is not favorable)and these are sent over to the FDA for approval. The FDA approves countless drugs based on this farce.

The science falsely so-called which is used to promote synthetic chemicals that are proven dangerous and for the most part absolutely ineffective is also used to discredit vitamins, nutrition, and natural medicine as cures for disease. If nutrition, supplements, herbal treatments, exercise, pure water, and common sense were able to be patented you can bet your last dollar that drug companies would be touting their benefits. As of this writing, however, they still can't find a way to make money on natural remedies, so they will continue to be shunned by the medical community, the FDA, and mainstream media, in favor ofsynthetic drugs made in a laboratory.

It is a multi-billion dollar money making machine that is utterly corrupted by greed. There will never be a cure for cancer from this scientific community because cancer is very big business. There is big money in treating cancer and managing it but the money supply would dry up quickly if a cure were ever found. It would put too many folks out of business so do not look for a cure any time soon or even in your lifetime.

That's why the FDA outlaws any claimsof healing through nutrition, (raw fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts and seeds) vitamin supplements, herbs, and lifestyle changes such as exercise, while championing the benefits of statin drugs promoted by the drug industry and at the same time downplaying the horrible side effects to include the worst side effect of all -- DEATH. They will never tell you that natural remedies actually prevent cancer in the first place and often cure cancer in the sufferer because these natural remedies are inexpensive and can be used by all.

It is all too clear when unbiased facts are weighed in the balances that the so-called science of today is nothing more than the whore of big industry. This science is dedicated to conning people out of their hard earned paychecks and in this game cures do not pay the piper. In this highstakesgame a cure is a bad thing. If the tremendous amount of money and resources dumped into the cure for diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and osteoporosis (just to name a few) have never produced a cure than we either have the stupidest scientists on planet earth, or they have an agenda to keep drug companies churning out one new statin drug after another which cannot cure any disease but merely manage it. This science falsely so-called does not spend any of our hard earned money researching the cause of the disease but only the disease itself. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that if you know what causes something you can then elimina te it.

One of the best cures for cancer according to much unbiased research is the sun. Yes, the sun! Vitamin D from the sun or from good supplements has been shown to eliminate the risk of cancer in up to 75 percent of the population. Since the sun cannot be patented, this true science about the miracle of vitamin D is widely suppressed. Tests are even manipulated to not only downplay the roll of vitamin D but to also scare us to deathso that if we ever do get out in the fresh air and sunshine we must be covered from head to toe in expensive sunscreen.In additionthe ridiculously low levels of vitamin D that the medical community touts as reasonable and safe is a joke. That is why over 80 percent of the population is suffering from a lack of vitamin D which is also why the above named diseases are running rampant in the United States.

Science Needs To Step Away From Big Industry And Seek True Answers

The scientific community will never provide a cure for anything as long as they are on the payroll of big industry. In this writer's opinion true scienceshould seek knowledge about the wonders of the universe apart from the influence of big business or politics. It ismy personal opinion that the only true function of a human scientist is to discover how God made it and what areit's true properties. This ispure science and has no agendas except the discovering of truth. Pure science is an impossibility, however, when the scientific community in this country are merely the corporate whores of big business who manipulate testing in favor of their pimps.

Until there is a major reform as to how science is conducted in America, and even it's reason for being, we will continue to suffer the highest disease rates of any developed country in the world and these diseases will continue to ravage our society to the bankrupting of this great land which many including myself proudly call home. May this scenario which is well on it's way never be brought to fruition!

Problems With Education

Everyone recognizes there is a problem with education. It is one of the few topics actually discussed at college. There is the government (meaning how to make it a bigger welfare state), how to protect the environment, why people suck (which includes racism, prejudice, selfishness, all that stuff), and why education sucks. Unfortunately, no one really has the slightest clue why education is poor. They just point to statistics of drop out rates, graduation rates, SAT scores and say, "See, they are low; therefore, education in this country is poor." Of course, they always follow up with the statistics from Europe and Asia and say, "See, education there is great." However, these individuals do not realize that the statistics really have nothing to do with whether the education in one particular place or another is good or bad.

The real mark of good education is if it ignites the desire to learn. This means that the students must actually want to learn, voluntarily educate themselves, and are learning what they want to learn. Therefore, while others say education is poor because of lackluster statistics, I say education is poor because it is boring and supported by violence. Simply look at all education prior to college. However, do not count pre-school or kindergarten. I do not remember those periods very well, but the little parts are do remember are distinctly different from the other periods. In those two periods I remember sitting on the floor with toys or coloring. From first grade to twelfth grade, however, I remember sitting in rows with thirty other students, all facing the same way, staring at someone talk to me for about fifty minutes. After fifty minutes I and all other other students would get up, go to another room, and repeat the process roughly six times a day, five days a week.

This is utterly boring. The emotions I associate with my school years are a feeling of physical sickness (like I actually wanted to vomit all the time), incredibly tired, really freaking warm (like unbearably warm like I was cooking), anger, hatred, self-loathing. As far as I recall, first grade to twelfth grade was infinitely worse than college. The best example that captures how awful that period of education is comes from an experience in my seventh grade geography class. On an unrelated tangent my teacher stated something like, "These are the best years of your life. You are having the most fun now." I then turned to the student sitting to my left and said something to the effect of, "That is the most retarded thing I ever heard." The student then replied with something like, "Yeah, if that's true, I am just going to kill myself right now." Education is not fun, it is boring and horrible, even though it should be fun. The fact is, education, meaning learning new things , is incredibly enjoyable. When I learn something new it is like the sunlight hits me in the face. I have those incredible ah-ha moments.

However, I experienced this very rarely in my formal education. Furthermore, I actually went to a private school, which is supposed to be better than public school. If that is true, public school must be awful. I think the two biggest reasons why education is so boring is because the students do not actually get to do anything, and because students are learning about topics they do not care about. Firstly, sitting in rows for six fifty-five minute periods five days a week does not count as doing something. That is the opposite of doing something. Presently, it seems so obvious to me that this is a major problem with education; however, while I was in school I could not figure it out. I always thought I was the problem and I just needed to focus more. Yet, now, whenever I plainly describe school as sitting in rows I laugh a little. I just think to myself, "Who honestly thought this was a good idea? Who really thought people were going to learn this way?" I just think of a c omedian like Lewis Black, Jerry Seinfeld, or Eddie Izzard describing how people came to a conclusion as to how they were going to educate students. However, I only realized how utterly horrible and ridiculous the concept was until I heard Stefan Molyneux of Freedomain Radio compare education to sitting in rows like fattening calves. At that moment it became so obvious to me.

The complete absence of stimulation in education results in not actually learning anything. It is basically like trying to teach something to someone who is sleeping. More stimulating and active methods are required. For example, one of my favorite classes was anatomy and physiology even though I have no interest in science. The reason it was one of my favorite classes was because I was actually dissecting animals. I actually saw the inside of lungs and stomachs. I saw where all the organs were. I had to look up organs I had not seen before. Today, I still remember parts of what I learned in anatomy and physiology. Whereas in environmental science, pre-calculus, geography, geometry, classes where I sat and listened and never did anything active to apply my knowledge I remember absolutely nothing. I can tell you that the semi-circular canals within the inner ear use the distribution of fluids within them to communicate to the brain how balanced the body is because I actuall y saw semicircular canals and the brain and the inner ear of an animal.

Furthermore, I discovered them myself. The teacher did not throw up a slide and say, "Here they are." However, I cannot deduce all the lengths of a polygon based on one length, I do not know the characteristics of different climates, I do not know the nitrogen cycle and how it interacts with other cycles. Why? Because I was bored out of my mind because I was not applying any of it. Secondly, if a student has absolutely no interest in a topic, there is no reason for him to learn it. Of course, there is a benefit to learning basic math and writing skills, but does every student really need to learn pre-calculus. I really dislike math. I had no interest in taking that class, but I was forced to because of some state requirements or something. However, today, I cannot remember a single thing about pre-calculus and I have not died, I have not failed out of college, and I can get a job. I fail to see the importance of learning something I have no interest in, if it has no role i n keeping me alive and allowing me to interact with the world. Forcing students to take classes they despise only compounds how boring and distressing and discouraging education is. If students are allowed to learn what they would like to learn, even unconventional topics, they will be more excited about learning. They will also do better in those classes, and will be interested in learning on there own. When a student is provided with active learning in topics he loves, he is taught that learning is enjoyable; therefore, he will seek to learn independently.

Thus, education becomes a life long activity, and individuals become smarter. However, if a student is provided with inactive boring learning in topics he hates, he is taught that learning is miserable; therefore, he will try to avoid education and never seek to learn independently. Thus, education is no longer part of his life, and he is not as intelligent as he would like to be. Of course, no one wants to hear these ideas. If these ideas are correct, then that means they have been wrong their entire lives. No. Instead, individuals believe the solution to poor education is giving schools more money. This is a horrible idea. It is like paying someone who know is a horrible mechanic to fix your car. You are basically paying for your car to get just a little better. If schools are given more money, they will spend it trying to make things more boring and more restrictive. Other problems with education include the fact that it is forced. Parents must send their children to sc hool or else they will be fined, sent to jail, or their children will be taken from them. Fantastic ways to motivate people to learn. Obviously, children do not see government agents holding guns to their parents heads saying, "Go to school or else." However, I am sure there are parents who would not send their children to school, or send their children to more active yet state un-approved schools if allowed the choice. Another problem with education is that the majority of it is public.

Therefore, the state sets the curriculum. If the state has no idea how to run a business and has no authority to run a business, the same applies to education. It is a business like anything else. Better learning environments are created, when schools can compete against one another in the free market. Furthermore, since the state controls the schools, the state puts an emphasis on math, science, and conformity. Through schools the state tries to create students who will serve the interests of the states. The goal is not to provide the best place for customers to learn. The goal is to create future leaders and future civil servants. It should not be that much of a stretch to understand, since those exact lines, "future leaders" "future community leaders" "future civil servants", are actually used. The worst problem with education, however, is how it is presented. Teachers argue that high school prepares one for college, and college prepares one for a life and a career. The refore, high school must be somewhat related to life and careers. As education stands now, this is completely false. However, this is how it is presented, and this is what students assume. Thus, students also assume that since high school is horrible, their lives and careers will also be horrible. In a previous post I explained that nonsense parties where individuals drink excessively is motivated my self-loathing. That is definitely still a part of it; however, I think this presentation of education also plays into it. Students may assume that since life is going to continue sucking, that this is the most opportune time to get in as much hedonistic joy as possible before they acquire larger responsibilities that will not allow them to behave in this way. Basically, this presentation of education may only add to their self-loathing.

They already do not like themselves, so the drink and party to cripple their reason, cripple their ability to recognize reality. Then education basically confirms this for them. Life sucks, and you suck, that is why you boring education is forced upon you. Thus, they continue to use the only method they know of to feel "good", which means to feel less because what they do feel is pain, hatred, anger, boredom, and self-loathing. Unfortunately, college essentially follows the same blue print as high school. The only differences are there are fewer classes, few assignments, more time, and more independence. Yet, classes are still forced upon individuals, and they use the same boring standard. There is only one defense for any of this. There is the defense for general education requirements. Allegedly they make someone a well rounded person, which is allegedly good. I do not buy it. If someone does not want to learn something, there is no reason for him to learn it. Well round ed individuals are no better than others, especially if they are unhappy. Furthermore, well rounded individuals know only a little about several topics.

While a skilled individual knows much about one topic. From a practical perspective the skilled individual seems more equipped then the well rounded one. The other defense I have heard for courses like geography forced upon individuals is that it helps the brain grow and develop. I do not buy this either. Of course, I could be completely wrong. Though I do pretend to be a doctor on occasion, I am certainly not a doctor. Therefore, my the brain does grow and develop in useful ways when learning topics one does not want to learn. However, I do not understand how the brain grows and develops through these courses, if after a year the individual no longer remembers what he learned in the course. For example, I do not remember anything about geometry, pre-calculus, environmental science, or geography. If my brain grew and developed while learning those topics, would I not remember them? Furthermore, even if my brain grew and developed while learning those topics even though I d o not remember them, what exactly are those grown and developed parts filled with? They are certainly not filled with geometry, pre-calculus, environmental science, or geography.

For a comic to be in the horror genre they have to include anything and everything scary like zombies, vampires, monsters, and villains. These comics are usually dark and have gory pictures, like most horror movies. There is a lot of drama and suspense in this genre. Sometimes it can be confused with fantasy because vampires and zombies arent real. However, fantasy comics have a medieval type them with dragons, sword fights, and faraway lands. Both types have made up characters but horror is meant to scare you while you are reading it.

Veterans Day is a United States National Holiday, celebrated every year on November 11th. Veterans Day was declared a holiday to remember the numerous sacrifices of our military personnel. Historic War s
The United States of America has been involved in many historic wars including the Civil War, Revolutionary War, World War I, World War II, The Korean War, The Vietnam War, Desert Storm and the War in Iraq. Veterans who serve in peacetime are also honored for their willingness to serve and their importance in maintaining peace.

World War I - The War to End all Wars
World War I was a European battle against the mighty forces of Germany. This war was much larger than anyone anticipated and was called The Great War. WWI began in 1914 and ended in 1918. Many soldiers on both sides forfeited their lives and as a result, the war was declared The War to End All Wars. On November 11, 1918, a truce or Armistice was declared on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
Woodrow Wilson declared November 11 Armistice Day. An unidentified soldier was buried in the tomb of the Unknown Soldier to remember the many soldiers who lost their lives.

Armistice Day Declared a National Holiday
Twenty seven states gradually made Armistice Day a legal holiday. In 1938, the U.S. Congress declared November 11 a National Holiday.

World War II and Veterans Day
In 1939, the year after Armistice Day was declared a national holiday, World War II began. This war involved countries outside of the European Theater and was so large that it made World War I appear small in comparison. WWII ended after six and a half years, however, it wasn't until 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who was himself a World War II veteran, proclaimed November 11 as Veterans Day.

Because of the Uniform Monday Holiday Act, Congress elected to change the date of Veterans Day in 1971. Co ngress proclaimed the holiday to be celebrated on the second Monday of the month, but there was universal public outcry to the proposed change. People felt that the date of November 11 was much too significant to be celebrated on any day except November 11th. In 1975, President Gerald Ford changed Veterans Day back to its original date of November 11th.

Corporate Responsibility: The Answer to the UK Job Crisis

As the G8 summit in Italy draws to an end it is apparent that the top issues discussed, remains to be the three biggest issues around the world: the current economy, global warming and world hunger.

Their final draft statement seen by Reuters, addresses these different issues and their solution to it.

"We are committed to increase investments in short, medium and long-term agriculture development that directly benefits the poorest and makes best use of international institutions," the statement said.

While the richest countries in the world debate these issues, big corporate companies around the world have been trying for years to improve them in some way or the other.

Corporate Responsibility (CR), formerly known as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been placing big multinational companies under extraordinary stress to honour and support the triple bottom line of people, planet and profit.

According to the UK Government's Corporate Responsibility Report, CR makes business sense.

"Good business leaders recognise that Corporate Responsibility makes good business sense - it attracts the best talent, earns the trust of customers and the community and acts as a powerful investment for long-term sustainability," said Ian Pearson, Minister of State Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform.

While countries around the world battle with one or all three issues as well as new concerns manifested from them, one of the biggest problems the UK is currently facing is the growing unemployment rate.

According the Office of National Statistics, the UK had a staggering two million people out of a jobs at the end of 2008 and in the last three months the unemployment rate rose from 6.5 pc to 7.1pc.
Corporate Responsibility takes on a new and more intense role when it demands job creation and skill training during the current econ omic climate.

Tesco's plans to expand a store in Barton-Upon-Humber leading to the creation of 50 new jobs in the area, is an example of the kind of CR the UK job market needs.

Residents of Barton-Upon-Humber has responded positively towards their plans and corporate affairs manager, Nick Gellatly said that although recruiting will only start in next year, people from the area have already enquired about it.
"Nearer to the time, we will talk to the Job Centre Plus and set up a Local Employment Partnership to make sure that local people have the best possible chance of getting a job and people who have been unemployed have the best chance of getting a job," he said.

Another example of this is with Sainsbury's new store in north Essex where 23 new jobs were created.

The store in Halstead's High Street was previously a Somerfield store and through the Sainsbury buy-over 70 jobs were safeguarded as well.

"We're proud of our new store but the best part is meeting the local community. Everyone's so friendly and we're looking forward to making a positive difference," commented Andy Deacon, Store manager.

Companies show their participation through endeavours like these, with on-going charity support or with projects like Vodafone's Lifetracks programme.

The Lifetracks programme focuses on the youth of the UK, empowe ring 16-25-year-olds with the knowledge to make informed choices about work, study and training.

The programme involves engagement teams, workshops, help lines, a website and volunteers.

Vodafone's aim with this programme is to assist 720,000 UK youngsters over a three year period and help 70pc of them into employment, education or training.

Vodafone has also created 3600 jobs in Berkshire at their Newbury HQ and spent £12m on products and services from West Berkshire's local suppliers.
While the economic climate is currently a daily issue it does not mean that the environmental climate should take the back-seat until the economy settles down.

Natural disasters like floods and earth quakes are a direct result of global warming and will only increase economic turmoil if not pro-actively dealt with.

"This week the G8 nations came to an historic consensus towards concrete goals to reduce carbon emissio ns," said US president, Barack Obama.

"Developed nations will reduce their emissions by 80 percent and we will work with all nations to cut global emissions in half. This ambitious efforts is consistent with limiting global warming to no more than two degrees Celsius. Developed countries, like my own, have a historic responsibility to take the lead," he said.

The good news is that while our big corporate institutions need to focus their CR on job creation, this is not the only focus for some.

Coca-Cola who employ 4500 people in England, Scotland and Wales do their bit for the environment through ensuring that all of their UK manufacturing sites adhere to the highest environmental standards, by being ISO14001 certified.

The largest listed water company in the UK, United Utilities, who maintain water, wastewater, electricity and gas, are trying to improve the environment through their numerous projects.

They are currently involved with a project that turns biogas from sewage treatment into fuel for vehicles.

Another of their projects saved £6.7m through producing methane gas from sewage sludge in order to provide heat and electricity to run sewage systems.

Big corporate companies earn billions each year and to some extend certain global issues, like for example global warming, is as a result of pollution from billions of factories around the world.

That is why big companies owe it to the world to put money back into improving the economy, environment and social issues.

Hopefully the UK will see more CR projects, charity support and most importantly job creation within the next several months as companies start to see the importance of Corporate Responsibility in combating unemployment.
